During the short school holiday, our children returned home to help their families fetching water, working in the garden, caring for younger siblings, supporting their parents with the small daily tasks that keep a household running. For many of them, this is normal life between terms: a brief pause before books, uniforms, and classrooms again take over their days.
Now, that pause is ending. Children report back to school on Monday, 14th September, ready to resume their studies.
But 20 of our children will arrive at the gate without a uniform.
Among them is Asher, a Senior Four student preparing for his national examinations this November, the culmination of four years of secondary education, revision, and coaching. This is his final, promotional term. Missing it does not mean a delay; it means repeating the entire year and losing the momentum he has built since Senior One.
Current status:
20 children affected across our partner schools in Mpigi and Wakiso
Uniforms and essential school requirements needed before Monday's reopening
$25 raised so far toward this need
$275 still required to fully cover all 20 children
We are asking our donor community to help us close this gap before Monday morning. Every contribution large or small goes directly toward uniforms and basic requirements so these children can walk into their classrooms alongside their peers, without disruption, without shame, and without losing precious time in a term that matters most.
$15 covers one child's uniform.Together, we can make sure all 20 children including Asher report back to school fully prepared.
Please donate today. Monday is almost here.
