Project Report UpdateChild Protection & Safeguarding in PakistanSanash Welfare Foundation
Dear Supporters and Friends,
We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who has supported our Child Protection & Safeguarding in Pakistan initiative. Your encouragement and belief in our mission continue to inspire us as we work toward creating a safer environment for vulnerable children across Pakistan.
Current Project Status
At present, the project has been temporarily paused while we complete essential coordination and compliance requirements with relevant government authorities. We are actively pursuing Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with public sector hospitals, child protection units, and law enforcement agencies to ensure that the project is implemented through a strong, sustainable, and legally compliant safeguarding framework.
These partnerships are critical because effective child protection requires a coordinated response among healthcare providers, social services, educational institutions, and law enforcement agencies. While this process has taken longer than anticipated, it will significantly strengthen the project's long-term impact and effectiveness.
Understanding the Risks Facing Children
Pakistan's children face numerous protection challenges, including neglect, abuse, exploitation, violence, trafficking, and limited access to specialized support services. Certain groups of children are particularly vulnerable and often remain invisible within traditional protection systems.
Children living with developmental conditions such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), speech and language delays, communication disorders, and other developmental challenges often face increased risks. Due to difficulties in communication, social interaction, or self-advocacy, these children may be more vulnerable to abuse, bullying, neglect, and exploitation than their peers.
Many families, educators, and community members are not fully aware of these heightened risks, creating an urgent need for awareness, education, and safeguarding interventions that are inclusive of all children.
Creative Awareness Campaign Development
As part of our next phase, Sanash Welfare Foundation is seeking talented creative professionals, including:
Our goal is to develop impactful storytelling, awareness campaigns, visual content, and community-based educational materials that accurately portray the realities faced by at-risk children in Pakistan. We believe that powerful stories can help communities better understand safeguarding concerns and encourage collective action to protect children.
Looking Ahead
Once the required institutional partnerships are finalized, we plan to launch a comprehensive child protection program focused on:
How You Can Help
We remain committed to advancing this important initiative and respectfully request your continued support. Your contributions help us build the foundations necessary for a stronger child protection system in Pakistan.
We also invite professionals, volunteers, content creators, researchers, and safeguarding experts to connect with us and contribute their expertise to this cause.
Every child deserves safety, dignity, protection, and the opportunity to thrive. Together, we can create safer communities and a brighter future for Pakistan's most vulnerable children.
On behalf of the entire team at Sanash Welfare Foundation, thank you for standing with us in this journey.
With gratitude,
Sanash Welfare Foundation
