Challenge

Chittoor District of Andhra Pradesh, India is highly drought-prone area and thus the entire urban and rural population suffering from the vagaries of nature and pangs of poverty are left with no better alternatives. Child labor is predominantly presents in Chittoor. There are vast number of children working in workshops, incense stick making industries, match work industries, cigar making industries, several hotels, restaurants and automobile shops.

Solution

Sponsoring a child will help affected children rebuild their lives, provide affected children and their communities with education, hope and opportunities for life.

Long-Term Impact

As the children are educated they become aware of their rights and will not allow any person to trample upon those rights, and this will ultimately end the circle of child poverty, child labor and child trafficking.
