For Mexican children with cancer, COVID-19 has made resources scarcer than ever before. With your support, we can give some of the +1,200 children we have in active treatment and the +4,600 we have in surveillance, special studies, medicines, prostheses and endoprotheses.
In Mexico, child cancer is the leading cause of disease-related death among the little ones. Each year, there are around 5,000 new cases and the survival rate is around 50%. However, if detected, diagnosed and treated on time -and consistently-, it can be mostly curable. It is a matter of life and death, that every child can access and maintain his or her oncological process, from beginning to end, without any delays nor alterations.
Since 1990, we strive to cover all basic needs and resilience tools. On this specific project, we chose to focus on strengthening the support of: special studies, medicines, prostheses and endoprotheses. With your donation, we can achieve this endeavour.
We seek to increase the survival rate of low-income girls, boys and young people who suffer from cancer in Mexico, by providing a custom-made, comprehensive and free of cost treatment. "Where you live in the world, should not determine whether you live in the world." -Bono
