After a successful winter program we have now expanded our activities and campaign to the summer. Everyday 1500 children in Kabul, Herat, Mazaresharif, Bamyan, Khost and Nanagarhar are enjoying many different social, fun, healing and educative activities. It is difficult to be a child in Afghanistan especially for the underprivileged ones such as children of refugee camps, orphanages and street-working children. We provide them different classes, arts, social skills and first of all hope.
According to UNICEF, Afghanistan is among the worst countries to be a child in. The deteriorating security will not make it any better for the children or easier for the parents. Afghanistan is a country with so many children and not much of childhood. Nearly everything here is serious, made by and for adult men and not much of fun and joy for children and the focus is more on surviving rather than living.
We are organizing joyful, educative and social programs for 1500 Underprivileged (45% girls) in Kabul, Mazaresharif, Herat, Bamyan, Nangarhar and Khost. We keep the kids safe and teach them social and life skills, by joyful activities such as games and circus arts and also classes such as English, Computer and Calligraphy. We provide the frames where the kids can be kids and gain the skills and the joy to transform them from war victims to joyful, social, confident and peaceful leaders.
This is a unique chance for 1500 children who are deprived of their childhood, a window to a brighter future, helping them to review the life, and make a better future free from traumas of the past. They learn different artistic, social and life skills as well as developing their personalities which all together help them to be creative and also in different ways contribute to their communities. These activities contribute in a large scale to children's culture in Afghanistan.
