Dear friends and supporters Wherever you are and whatever religion you practice - or don't - we want to wish you a very happy and beautiful December. Thank you for continuing to support us in 2022, as we got back on our feet after the extreme difficulties of 2020 and 2021. We have so many children who are coming to our centre and telling us what an unhappy time they had when the pandemic was at its peak, missing out on education and seeing their friends. It is because of your regular donations that we have been able to stay open and give them a chance to return to a happier way of life, one where they can look forward to the future again. Funding remains a huge challenge for us, especially with the economic problems facing much of the world, but we are grateful that we are still running and providing services. Other much-loved non-profits were not so lucky. Indeed, we have much to be thankful for, such as the funding partner who has helped us expand our music and sports classes for children, as you can see in this photograph. These classes bring so much joy to the students. Some of them may go on to become musicians or sports stars, as former students have. Others may simply benefit from the discipline and creativity they learn. Keep an eye on our social media over the next few weeks as we hope to have something rather special to show you, a rather beautiful life lesson from one of our former students, who is now one of our teachers. Thank you everyone. We cannot tell you how much we appreciate you. Love from The Tiny Toones Family

Dear supporters
Thank you for continuing to support us during an exciting six months, as we finally began to fire on all cylinders after the disruptions of the pandemic.
Many exciting things have happened, such as the revitalisation of our board, who will steer us into the next phase of our journey. You can learn about them here: https://www.tinytoones.org/board-of-trustees/
We've also celebrated the first Khmer New Year festivities at our centre since the pandemic began, bringing enormous joy to our children and their families, and collaborated with major campaigns by organisations like UNICEF.
However, the most important part of our work is educating our students and getting them on the road to a better future. That's why we are so happy to be able to share this story with you, about Bunteng.
Bunteng had a tough start in life. Not only did he survive a house fire when young but he was born in Thailand and grew up in Cambodia without documentation, which meant he couldn’t register to attend public schools. Tiny Toones was the only place to offer him an education, and he has studied diligently for years… but he has always yearned to go to public school with other kids his age.
Now we have finally managed to support his family to get the documentation he needs and register, and Bunteng has started grade 6! He's very happy and particularly enjoys Maths and Khmer. But he's so hungry for learning he is still coming to Tiny Toones every day for extra classes and acting as a role model for other kids. Read his full life story here: https://www.unicef.org/cambodia/stories/meet-bunteng.
It is thanks to your support that we are able to turn around lives like Bunteng's and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

A very happy new year at Tiny Toones thanks to YOU

Dear supporters
After a year of bad news, we are absolutely delighted to be able to send this new report, which is an incredibly happy one for everyone at Tiny Toones.
For most of last year our centre was closed by order of the Government, in order to contain the spread of COVID. We did our best to support our students through community outreach and helping them to keep up with their studies, but we knew it was no substitute for having our centre open to provide a safe haven and really effective in-person learning.
We knew we were lucky. Many other NGOs and community organisations ran out of funds during the pandemic and closed. Thanks to your monthly donations, we were able to survive and keep making an impact. But we weren't able to offer our kids the better lives they deserved, and that was hard on our whole team.
Well, that's no longer the case. COVID hasn't disappeared from Cambodia, and we are still having to be very careful with safety and hygiene, but thanks to an incredible vaccination programme we were able to reopen again at the end of last year.
So once again, our kids are pouring into our classrooms every day and learning, laughing, playing and getting creative. It's a joy and we have so many exciting plans for 2022. Please stay tuned to our social media channels and learn more.
But for now, thank you. You're the reason we can call this a HAPPY NEW YEAR.
With love and thanks
