A Space4all

Dear Supporters,

We hope you and your loved ones continue being safe and well during these endless challenging times.

We would like to share with you an overview of the project that you contributed to with your generous donations. Space4all project started on October 9, 2019 and became operational on March 5, 2020. But 2020 was truly a rollercoaster!

• June 1^st 2020, marked the partial re-opening of Zambian schools for the examination classes of Grades 7, 9 and 12. Space4all welcomed back the sponsored students and we used the space to prepare them for their upcoming exams in strict adherence to Zambian government prescribed COVID-19 guidelines: all students had to wash their hands before coming into the classroom, wear face masks and maintain physical distance. We are happy to report that ALL students successfully passed their exams and are moving up a grade!

• December 2020 was the end of the school year with a safe celebration for the students in Space4all who showed resilience during this difficult year. 

• Fast forward to February 1^st 2021, all schools have re-opened in Zambia for all grades! We are therefore pleased to have all our pupils back at Space4all for a new school year where they can benefit from individual mentoring and group tuition; and with a new school year came new uniforms, school supplies and masks (see pictures below).

In the brief period that the center has been in existence we have felt the great impact that it has on our work and the community: having a multipurpose facility in the heart of a vulnerable community empowers and inspires students and facilitates the work of the teachers and mentors, enabling them to improve how they support children, allowing them to dedicate more quality time to each child, and to give more tailored support. It is indeed a safe environment to anchor Chance4all programs: a place for students to study, work with a tutor, gain computer skills, benefit from the nutrition program, develop important life skills, increase resilience, and make positive connections amongst themselves and with the other students of the school and community. Space4all is also being used by the Bauleni community at large and will be even more in the future (subject to COVID restriction) for upcoming projects/workshops…

It has been a very interesting journey and we are so excited that it has materialized! We also recognize that it would never have been possible without the tremendous support of our committed donors. We are proud to be part of this community and to be on this journey with YOU! We take this opportunity once more to recognize just how much we value your support and to extend our heartfelt gratitude to you all for your valuable contributions. Whatever we were able, and will be able to do, is  a direct result of the contributions of our donor community. We could not have achieved Space4all without YOU!
