Tiempo de Juego has been working strongly in order to promote and protect Womens’ Rights by training its team on gender issues and creating projects that aim to reduce gender inequalities. Nowadays, children and youth that attend to Tiempo de Juego’s activities are aware of what gender violence is and they have learnt to understand that women have the same rights as men. This has a particular importance inside Altos de Cazucá where gender and sex stereotypes are deeply rooted in the community.
Thanks to your support during the past few months, Tiempo de Juego will be able to celebrate the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Womenon Friday November 25th, a day in which the organization will be raising awareness of the fact that women are vulnerable actors in every society, being victims of rape, domestic violence, discrimination, among others. On this particular day, Tiempo de Juego is organizing a Carnival for Peace where the organization’s music group, consisting of children and youth from the community, will be inviting participants and women from Altos de Cazucá to speak out against such types of violence.
