Since 2016, we have carried out annual fundraising events to create new partnerships and boost our programs. This year, to celebrate Tiempo de Juego's 15th anniversary, we decided to do a huge project named La Ventana de Soacha - Soacha's window in English-
This project consisted of three items:
On the first hand, we did an intensive arts program for children and young people in Soacha. Approximately 50 children received art classes led by renowned Colombian artists. Besides, seven adolescents participated in an intensive design and woodworking workshop in CUADRILLA.
Additionally, we created a local contest for young artists from Cazuca, where more than 40 young people participated. The first three places of the competition received an award and had the opportunity to participate in the art auction as artists. In fact, their artworks were sold very quickly.
Finally, we carried out the art auction, where more than 61 Colombian artists participated and donated a part of their earnings to us. With these funds, we will be able to keep expanding our art programs, believing they are a powerful tool to create social transformations.
