As we wrap up this academic year, we want to thank you for standing alongside Cambodian students, educators, and communities during a year marked by uncertainty and change.
When this project was launched, Cambodia was navigating the effects of conflict and disruption that threatened learning and well-being in communities across the country. While tensions along the border have not fully disappeared, the situation has stabilized significantly compared to the period when this project was first launched. Thanks to your support, Teach For Cambodia was able to remain responsive during this period while continuing to invest in the long-term leadership and learning that students need to thrive.
Throughout the 2025-26 academic year, Teach For Cambodia Fellows served in public schools across Phnom Penh and Kandal Province, supporting approximately 15,000 students through classroom teaching, mentoring, leadership development activities, and community engagement. In addition to supporting academic learning, Fellows help students develop confidence, curiosity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, capabilities that will serve them long after they leave the classroom.
We continue to see access to schools and learning opportunities is important, the strength of relationships and leadership that surrounds students makes a big difference as well. Across partner schools, fellows work alongside teachers, school leaders, families, and communities to help young people remain engaged in their learning and continue building the skills needed to navigate an increasingly complex world.
In the coming month, you will notice updates to our GlobalGiving project page as we transition back to sharing about our core mission of recruiting, developing and supporting leaders to expand educational and life opportunities for all children in Cambodia. On behalf of the TFC community, we thank you for our support during a time of uncertainty and look forward to sharing the next chapter of this work with you.
