Summary

Having working with remote farmers in and around Bui Division of North West Cameroon, Green Care Association has come to realized the difficulty of processing food stuff. Its for these reason that Green Care Association is identified the easiest way to process Cassava by machine. This shall be for Four communities in the outskirts of Shisong Village.

Challenge

The project targets to provide Cassava processing machine to remote farmers most of whom are women and teenage girls who are often times the ones to process Cassava into Gari manually as source of family food and income

Solution

The project will provide Cassava processing machines to four remote communities to be supervised by Green Care Association every week to ensure sustainability.

Long-Term Impact

Once the processing machines are put in place farmers are going to increase their output at the same time increasing their food supplier and family income. Its also going to heavily reduce manual labour on cassava processing there by creating sufficient time for other household duties and rest.
