Care Community Education Centre located in Northern Uganda (West Nile Region ) was initiated after seeing the suffering of war victims of children and women who have suffered series of political instability for over 20years.Therefore needs the donors support in order to come out from this miserable life The organisation is helping 56 orphaned children who are currently at school, thirty women are on training skills e.g. sewing clothes. Also we have introduced saving scheme.to help girls.
Death of many people in this community as a result of UNRF/LRA rebel insurgence in Northern Uganda hence higher rate of orphaned children, high rate of HIV/AIDS infection as a results of IDP camps, Prevention Mother to child transmission ,currently insufficient transport which affects the supervision and progress of these orphans in their respective schools. lack of enough scholastic materials to these orphans and multrion of these orphans due to insufficient food.
Sensitization of the community on issues pertaining to HIV/AIDS prevention and control. Training the care-givers and vulnerable women in attaining practical skills in sewing clothes. Visitation of the orphans and vulnerable children in their respective schools to follow-up their progress in relation to their health and education Lobbying for funds and other resources from donors/NGOs to run the project
In long run the HIV/AIDS infection will be reduced in the community and pregnant women would deliver from referral hospitals that would minimize (PMTCT) Vulnerable women and orphans would acquire life skills for self reliance. Many orphans would be educated and be employed in Government jobs
