Big news at The JOY Home!
Eight new children are starting one-on-one therapy this week, bringing our total to 23 children who come to the JOY Home weekly for care.
We are so excited to get to know these new smiling faces and help lead them to a place of hope and healing.
Also, we are excited to welcome Filip Kiprovski to The JOY Home Team!
He joins Gaga on our physical therapist team - giving the children extra exercise/physio time in their sessions, as well as adding a new perspective.
Filip's calm, quiet demeanor and his knowledge of the children's physical challenges and needs are a great addition to our team.
And, to be completely honest, Gaga, Angela, Ece, and I really appreciate having a guy to help lift some of the bigger kids! :)
Speaking of physical therapy.....we have several children at The JOY Home who are starting to take their first steps.
It's super exciting and fun to watch. Four of them are in the 3-5 year old age range and have varying diagnoses (Down Syndrome, Visual Impairment, and other physical challenges). They have been working so hard to rise up to their best abilities and we are excited to be a part of their journey.
Growth, healing, and overcoming obstacles look different for each of our children. Some have to combat fear. Others work on strengthening muscles and core. And still others face challenges we can only imagine. No matter what battles they are conquering, it's super exciting to watch them go!!!
It's only through the support of friends like you that we are able to make so many giant steps together at The JOY Home.
We are grateful for you - your donations, encouragement, and support!
