1. "Close The Care Gap" Theme for 2022 - World Cancer Day 4th Feb. awareness program conducted today (3rd Feb 2022) at MDTT Hindu College, Tirunelveli by our Nellai Cancer Care Centre. Dr. Sinthiya, Medical Officer gave awareness to the students.
2. 12th Battalion Reserve Police cancer screening camp at Manimuthar on 5th Feb. 160 people were attended and 76 people screened. Thanks to Mr. Karthikeyan, Superintend of Police. Kudos to our Nellai Cancer Care Team.

5. Today 3rd March 2022, we had 3 awareness sessions for 485 Head masters, 135 Govt. schools, 150 Aided schools 200 Private Matriculation schools. Final session was the highlight with cultural events which was appreciated by the CEO, Educational inspectors, 3 Educational Districts CEOs. They confirmed to conduct preventive oncology sessions for Teachers & parents through Parents Teachers Association (PTA).
1. World Rose Day is annually celebrated on September 22 in dedication to the welfare of cancer patients. On this day, people around the world work towards bringing cheer and hope into the lives of all those people who have been affected by cancer. Nellai Cancer Care Centre, organised an event in connection with the World Rose Day, today on September 22nd, 2021 to bring cheers and hope into the lives of 160 cancer patients at Tirunelveli Medical College Hospital, The following items were distributed - Dates, Tooth paste, Tooth Brush, Towel, Face Mask, Red roses.
2. 10th Anniversary of Nellai Cancer Care Centre - Establishment of Nellai Cancer Care centre: If we go back by 10 years, it was based on the advice of late Dr. Shantha, Ex-Chairperson of Cancer Institute, Adyar, Chennai, Trustees of Udhavum Ullangal established Nellai Cancer Care Centre (NCCC) on October 2, 2011. The trust has been intensively working on cancer control activities such as Cancer Prevention, Pre-Screening and Early detection, and Palliative care services. Many former medical professionals of Cancer Institute Adyar bring their expertise to NCCC. In addition, the trust is being supported by Oncologists, Surgeons and Physicians, working in Tirunelveli and nearby areas.
3. Tree plantation at our Nellai Cancer Hospital site Chengulam on 2nd Oct. 2021, the day of our 10th Anniversary by Trustees, Doctors and Well-wishers.
4. Breast Cancer Awareness program in Manonmaniam Sundaranar University (MS University) , Nellai by our Team, Nellai Cancer Care Centre on 8th Oct 2021.
5. Airport Authority of India - Tuticorin Airport and Nellai Cancer Care Centre – Tirunelveli jointly organizes Pink October Breast Cancer Awareness program at Tuticorin Airport. Tuticorin Airport turned Pink on account of Pink October dedicated for creating awareness about Breast Cancer which is the leading Cancer among women across the World. Nellai Cancer care centre a project of Udhavum Ullangal organized a daylong event to create awareness to sencitize among the passengers and staff in Tuticorin Airport along with the Airport Authority of India inaugurated by the Director Mr. Subramaniam Tuticorin Airport from at 10.30 onwards.

We are offering community home base care for 210 cancer patients and also offering palliative care services to 56 patients. Our team trained from Palliam India have been offering palliative care for last 5 years in Tiruelveli.

World cancer day 2021, I am and I will - Nellai cancer care centre launched series of awareness cum screening camps, the program was organized in coordination with the District Collectorate in Tirunelveli. Asst Collector Ms. Alamelumangai IAS inaugurated and the need for better awareness on cancer which is an NCD, non-communicable diseases, she also highlighted the need for healthy lifestyle including balanced food. DRO Perumal sir also participated and highlighted about being aware, getting health tested. Nellai cancer centre is offering preventive oncology services in Tirunelveli District for over 10years. With Adyar cancer Institute guidance and support over 145000 people attended awareness, 38600 people screened and 103 cancer patients and treated. Community home based care services is being offered to cancer patients to ensure compliance of treatment. Nutritional supplements are offered. Dr. Abirami of Nellai cancer care center conducted the awareness program for 110 staff and clarified their doubts, screening will also be planned. Early deduction was highlighted by all the speakers, staff welfare team in Collectorate confirmed to organize the screening camp. Earlier Mr. Santhanam Trustee of Udhavum Ullangal welcomed the gathering and Mr. Sankar Mahadevan Founder Trustee of Udhavum Ullangal Nellai cancer care center highlighted about 24 free cancer screening camps and 10 awareness camps with our NGO partners and Govt. - On Sunday 13.12.2020 we celebrated Boomi Pooja to start compound wall construction for Nellai Cancer Care Hospital at Sengulam, Tirunelveli District. Nellai Cancer Care Centre (NCCC) was established in the year 2011 having its headquarters in Tirunelveli, with the technical support of Cancer Institute (WIA), Adyar. The centre was inaugurated by Padma Vibhushan Dr. V. Shanta, Chairman, Cancer Institute. NCCC is networking with Government and Non-Governmental organizations in the southern districts and conducts community-based cancer screening. NCCC has so far conducted 1,544 camps over the 9 years and created awareness for 1,42,655 people, screened 37,653, identified and treated 103 cancer patients supported 445 cancer patients and supporting 65 patients on palliative care. Our plan is to construct 100 bedded Cancer Hospital with state of Art treatment to all irrespective of the socio economic status. We need your support and guidance

Nellai cancer care center established in 2011 has already providing holistic cancer care services focusing on Preventive Oncology with awareness and screening camps for the poorest of poor vulnerable population. There are over 7.3 lakh bedi workers in Tirunelveli who are at risk, over 90% of them are women. NCCC has already conducted over 1494 camps, screened over 37766 people and identified over 103 cancer patients and offered treatment care services to over 545 cancer patients till March 2020.
Nellai cancer care center offers the following services-

Awarness cum screening camp was conducted for 208 employees of NTPL, Tuticorin. The program was organized by the CSR and HR team of NTPL.
Awarness cum screening camp was conducted for58 employees of Airport Tuticorin. The program was organized by the Airport Authority of India in coordination of our team..
A weak long multimedia campaign program was organized by Nellai cancer care center in Tirunelveli in coordination with the Southern Railway Hospital attended by over Ten thousand people and screened 63 people during this camp.
A series of 6 program were organized in 3 Districts along with the 3 District collectors.
