Forest fires in the province of Chubut

In January 2026, Fundación Bomberos de Argentina launched its Prevention Bridges Campaign with the aim of providing assistance to volunteer firefighters affected by the fires in Patagonia in the province of Chubut. It is estimated that more than 250 firefighters worked during the fires that affected more than 40,000 hectares of native forest.
During the emergency, more than 10,000 liters of water and isotonic drinks were delivered, along with 200 first aid items, among other contributions.
The campaign was supported by the private sector and the community, which raised more than USD 140,000 that will be used to purchase equipment for volunteer firefighters in the affected areas.
Over the coming months, the importation and purchase of the items will begin for subsequent delivery. The equipment will be delivered to the most affected associations so that firefighters can once again be equipped and prepared for future emergencies.

Delivery of clothing to volunteer firefighters

Puentes de la Prevención (Bridges of Prevention) is a campaign by Fundación Bomberos de Argentina (Argentine Firefighters Foundation) to act as a collaborative link between the National Volunteer Firefighters System (SNBV) and the private sector, the public, and other NGOs.
The main objectives are:
- To bring the issue to the attention of the private sector when a national emergency is declared.
- To promote partnerships that collaborate in the work of the Volunteer Firefighters.
- To raise awareness of the work of the SNBV, its functions, training, and needs.
In the last months of 2025, as part of a partnership with the Lion clothing brand, work clothes were delivered to more than 300 volunteer firefighters.
In total, more than 4,000 items were distributed among the Volunteer Firefighter Associations in the most vulnerable provinces of Argentina.
The following items were delivered:
- High-quality lightweight sweatshirts.
- High-quality turtleneck sweatshirts with spandex and antimicrobial technology.
- High-quality crew neck sweatshirts with spandex and antimicrobial technology in black.
- High-quality crew neck sweatshirts with spandex and antimicrobial technology in navy blue.
- High-quality reusable face masks with nano-fluid technology.
- High-quality men's short-sleeved shirts with nano-fluid technology in navy blue.
- High-quality men's long-sleeved shirts with nano-fluid technology in navy blue.
- High-quality women's long-sleeved shirts with nano-fluid technology in navy blue.
- High-quality women's short-sleeved shirts with nano-fluid technology in navy blue.

Canine brigades

From "Puentes de la Prevención, Fundación Bomberos de Argentina assists the canine rescue brigades that make up the National System of Volunteer Firefighters of Argentina.
A healthy diet is essential for the development and effort that the canines make. For this reason, since 2023, in alliance with the private sector, Fundación has delivered 7 tons of dog food.
IMPACT IN NUMBERS:
* 258 canines
* 17 Federations benefited
+ USD 10,000 in food donations
The objective of this action is to make visible the work of the canine brigades, to value the time of training and preparation of the dogs, and to highlight their role as a member of the firefighting system.
