California storms have disrupted life for millions of people across the state. The storms have caused multiple deaths, forced people from their homes, and left many Californians without power. Your donation will go to vetted nonprofits on the front lines of response.
Rain and snow from a series of California storms are causing serious flooding and mudslides throughout the entire state. Californians now grapple with climate-related disasters on an ongoing basis. The rampant wildfires of recent years have worsened the effects of the recent "atmospheric river" storms and will make it harder to recover. People from low-income, rural, and marginalized communities have less access to support, which means they also tend to bear the brunt of the long-term impact.
All donations to this fund will support storm relief and recovery efforts in California. Initially, the fund helps first responders meet survivors' immediate needs for food, fuel, clean water, medicine, and shelter. As needs emerge, we will support longer-term recovery efforts run by local, vetted organizations in impacted areas, particularly those working with low-income, historically underserved communities.
