Maternal Health Updates

By Shanna U. | Communications Associate

We are thrilled to announce the recent launch of our Maternal Health Program at the Cité Chauvel Clinic! This significant expansion means our Maternal Health Program operates in six of our seven clinics, enhancing access to essential services for mothers and newborns across our network.

Haiti faces severe challenges in maternal health, with the highest maternal mortality rate in the Western Hemisphere.  Poor infrastructure and long distances to healthcare facilities in rural areas further reduce access to timely prenatal and antenatal care.

Our Maternal Health Program addresses these challenges by providing comprehensive services that include antenatal care, safe delivery, emergency obstetric care, and postnatal support. By expanding to the Cité Chauvel Clinic, we aim to increase the percentage of births attended by skilled professionals and reduce maternal and infant mortality rates in our communities.

Heartwarming Journey of a Mother

We invite you to watch a heartwarming video chronicling the journey of a mother who receives care at Care 2 Communities. This inspiring story captures her path to motherhood, highlighting the critical support and comprehensive services our Maternal Health Program provides. Through her experiences, you'll see firsthand the positive impact of accessible, quality healthcare on the lives of mothers and their newborns in our communities. Join us in celebrating her story and our work to ensure every mother and child has a healthy start.

Your support is crucial in continuing our mission to improve maternal health outcomes in Haiti. Together, we can ensure that every mother and child has the opportunity for a healthy and bright future.
