Project Report | Jun 17, 2026
THANKYOU FOR BEING THE LIGHT IN DARKNESS: THIS IS OUR COMPREHENSIVE REPORT FOR ACHIEVEMENTS MADE

By cico uganda | Project Director

‎Dear Valued Donors and Partners,

‎Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

‎"Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." - Matthew 5:16

‎From all of us at Cico Uganda, thank you for being a fortress of hope across all our active projects on GlobalGiving. Your prayers and support from July to September 2026 have transformed lives in Kumi District.

‎YOUR IMPACT ACROSS ALL PROJECTS THIS QUARTER

1. ‎FOOD SECURITY & HUNGER RELIEF - "Pray for the Hungry #57485"
‎342 families, 710 individuals received monthly food packs across 6 villages in our project catchment area of operation.

‎Each pack: 12kg maize flour, 5kg beans, 2L cooking oil = 3 weeks of nutrition.
‎856 prayer and counseling moments shared during distributions.
‎Priority given to 112 widow-headed homes, 68 elderly 70+, and 45 families with malnourished children under 5.

1. ‎EDUCATION SUPPORT FOR VULNERABLE CHILDREN #58821
‎178 children and orphans supported with school fees, uniforms, books, and pens for Term 3.
‎12 community schools in Kumi engaged through parent meetings and mentorship sessions.
‎94% attendance rate recorded among sponsored children vs 78% last term. 23 children scored in top 10 of their class.

1. ‎CLEAN WATER & SANITATION #60134
‎9 boreholes and shallow wells repaired and maintained across 5 villages.
‎420 households trained on safe water handling, handwashing, and latrine use.
‎Community health volunteers reported 31% drop in diarrhea cases among children under 5 in target areas.

1. ‎WOMEN'S LIVELIHOODS & SAVINGS GROUPS #61507
‎150 women trained in tailoring, backyard gardening, and financial literacy.
‎15 new Village Savings and Loan groups formed with 225 total members.
‎67 women started small businesses. Average monthly income increased from 25,000 UGX to 58,000 UGX per woman.

1. ‎TEAM & TRANSPARENCY ACROSS ALL PROJECTS
‎8 Cico Uganda staff + 24 community volunteers delivered all programs.
‎100% of 1,393 total beneficiaries registered and tracked in Excel for donor accountability.
‎36 field visits completed with safety briefings before each trip.

‎STORY OF HOPE FROM OUR BENEFICIARIES
‎Akello Sarah, 41, widow and mother of 4 from Atutur Village, beneficiary of our food relief project, shared:
‎"Before Cico Uganda came, my children cried from hunger every night. We slept with empty stomachs. When your team brought food and prayed with us, I felt God had not forgotten us. The maize filled their stomachs, but the prayer filled my heart with hope. Now my children go to school with strength."

‎For every child in school, every woman with a new business, every family with clean water - your support is the reason they have hope today.

‎CHALLENGES & HOW WE ADAPTED
‎This quarter maize prices rose 23% and fuel costs increased. We responded by prioritizing the most vulnerable in every project and reducing pack sizes slightly while keeping monthly frequency. Because of faithful donors like you, zero projects stopped.

‎LOOKING AHEAD: OCTOBER - DECEMBER 2026
‎Next quarter we will:
1. ‎Expand food relief to Malera and Kobwin villages + maintain 342 families monthly.
2. ‎Enroll 50 more children in school support and provide Term 1 2027 materials.
3. ‎Repair 6 more boreholes before heavy rains.
4. ‎Train 80 more women in business skills and form 10 new savings groups.
5. ‎Continue prayer and devotional support in every project because people must be fed physically and spiritually.

‎FINAL WORD OF GRATITUDE
‎Thank you for being shining lights through every Cico Uganda project. You help us feed the hungry, educate children, protect health, and restore dignity.

‎We pray God multiplies your generosity and supplies all your needs as you have supplied the needs of others. Please continue to pray with us as we call forth more partners to make a difference.

‎"And my God will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus." - Philippians 4:19

‎With deep gratitude,

‎Cico Uganda
