With the spring starting, our garden looks much more lush and full of greenery. With the help of volunteers we managed to redesign the garden, build fencing and a green house. Now the children can have delicious organic vegetables every day. The boys are very proud of their garden and always show us around and tell us everything there is to know about tomatoes, beans, cauliflowers and some Nepalese veggies that we don't know.
We got some extra chickens and they are now laying eggs so we are expecting some baby chicks shortly. The boys cannot wait to look after the babies! We built a new chicken hut and extra fencing for a larger space for them to run around. It doesn't always work out the way we planned it though - last time we found our dogs relaxing in the chicken hut whilst the chickens were running around amongst the cabbages.
The buffaloes are very happy with the end of the winter as well - they've now stopped wearing their home made winter jackets! And some great news - our buffalo mamma is pregnant again so the boys cannot wait to welcome the new baby around October.
The boys had their results from mid terms exams a couple of weeks ago - some of them were first in the class so we're very proud of them. They got loads of sweets as a reward! Their school shoes were in great need of being replaced so we ordered new ones for everyone. That was an experience as well - we had to draw their feet on a piece of paper so that they sizes would match and now everyone has got bespoke shoes!
And thank you all so much for your support - without that, this project would never have been possible!
