Poverty 2 Prosperity's Youth Fund has been started thanks to your donation. We have helped support loans to five individuals--three for education and two for businesses.
Please note that September 16 is a bonus day (while funds last). This is a great time to donate.
Below are some of the details about one of the loans. The mom is getting a loan to educate her daugher. This takes place in India:
Rasanara is a rural housewife, hailing from Dupguri in the district of Jalpaiguri, West Bengal. She is 41 years old and blessed with four daughters and a son. Among them, three daughters are married; a daughter and the only son are still students.
Rasanara is illiterate and knows how to sign her name, but she is willing to provide her youngest daughter a good education and desires that she does not face any obstacle in receiving education.
Rasanara's husband has been engaged in a goat-selling business to earn their livelihood. He buys and resells goats and cows, which brings home a limited income per month.
Rasanara's daughter, 11-year-old Sheli, reads in grade 5 in Purba Magurmari Junior High School. She is a confident and intelligent girl and would like to score well in her examinations. So she tries to prepare from the very beginning and needs to enroll for coaching classes to pursue good education. But her parents can't afford her educational expenses for their poverty.
Thanks for making this, as well as other, loans possible.
