ASAR Humanity is committed to building water well and providing clean water access to children across Indonesia. With more than half of 643 small boarding schools in desperate need of water facilities, this project focuses on building small water systems, including water wells, water tanks, and ablution areas with three taps, costing $1,088 per unit. We invite you to join us in this mission to ensure that students have access to clean water for their daily needs and religious practices.
Many schools in Indonesia lack access to clean water, a basic necessity. Over half of the 643 local schools surveyed struggle with water scarcity. Students are forced to walk 3-7 kilometers just to fetch a single bucket of water. In summer, this burden becomes even more severe, as they have to work harder to gather enough water for basic needs like drinking, washing, and cleaning themselves.
ASAR Humanity's Clean Water Project aims to build well and water systems for these underserved school. Each small water system will include digging a water well, providing a water tank, and constructing an ablution area with three water taps. With donations starting from $20, individuals can contribute toward purchasing building materials or fund an entire ablution area.
By providing clean water and proper sanitation, we empower students to focus on their studies and religious education without the burden of looking for water. Clean water access will significantly improve their health, hygiene, and ability to live a better life. Over time, this project will not only enhance the quality of education but also create a healthier, more resilient future for thousands of students across Indonesia.
