Supporting Better Wudu Facilities for Madrasas

By Diva Anastasia Putri | Strategic Partnership & Digital Ecosystem

Thanks to your generosity, meaningful progress has been made in supporting the construction and improvement of wudu areas for madrasas in Indonesia. Your contributions are helping students access cleaner, safer, and more comfortable spaces to perform ablution before prayer and Qur’an study activities.

Many madrasas, especially in underserved communities, continue to operate with limited facilities. Some students are forced to share very small washing areas, while others rely on damaged water systems or incomplete sanitation facilities. These conditions make daily worship and learning more difficult, particularly for young students who spend most of their day at the madrasa.

The impact of this support goes beyond physical construction. A proper wudu area encourages cleanliness, supports healthy habits, and helps students feel more comfortable and focused during prayer and religious learning activities. For many children, these facilities are an important part of their daily spiritual journey.

Teachers and madrasa communities have expressed deep gratitude for the support received. Seeing students able to perform wudu more comfortably and safely has brought renewed enthusiasm and hope to the learning environment.
