While we are awaiting the release of permits that will allow us to open for deliveries, we held a dedication of our building. More than 30 people joined us, and the magic of the event was in the words of hope that each participant brought to the event.
When everyone had completed the tour of the new facility and had some yummy snacks, we sat in a circle in the bright, open waiting room. We asked each person to share a wish, hope or prayer for what would happen in that space in the future.
So many lovely words were shared about how they hoped women and families would feel welcomed, encouraged, motivated, and most of all, feel loved, as they received maternity care in this new birth center.
In addition, while waiting to be fully open, the midwives are holding regular practice drills and we have sponsored several seminars in our facility, some with local doctors as well.
Thank you for your ongoing support of this building project! We can't wait to tell you that we are open for full services, including labor and delivery, very soon!
