Over the past month, Give Chances has launched a new chapter of our Joyful Learning program in Kolkata, India. This initiative marks a significant milestone in our mission to expand educational equity worldwide by providing students in underserved communities with access to quality instruction. Thanks to your support, students in Kolkata are now stepping into their classrooms with excitement, curiosity, and a desire to learn the English language. We are overjoyed that we had the opportunity to expand to Kolkata, and are eager to see what the future holds for our Joyful Learning program in India.
Since launching in April, our English lessons have been running smoothly and effectively. Students are learning the basics of conversational English–from greetings and introductions to common phrases and vocabulary. Each class is designed to build both language skills and self-confidence, through meaningful day-by-day lesson plans and engaging games. With lesson plans that focus on specific grammar rules, we have been able to pinpoint areas for improvement with our students and create strong foundations for continued English learning. Through engaging games, we have encouraged collaboration, leadership, and teamwork, all while helping students practice the English language skills they’ve learned. We are already seeing immense progress in our students!
The Joyful Learning program in India was made possible through our partnership with local educators and our generous supporters, like you, whose contributions helped us equip classrooms with essential materials and create a structured curriculum tailored to young learners. By investing in early English language education, we are opening doors to future academic and career opportunities for our students. We thank you for your continued generosity and belief in our mission. Your impact is being reflected in the joy and progress of our students in the classroom. We look forward to sharing more success stories from India as the program grows in the coming months!
