The “Building Dreams” project continues to gain strong momentum in 2026, bringing renewed hope and tangible support to girls in marginalized communities of Nepal. In the first quarter of this year (January–March 2026), we successfully extended direct educational assistance to 5 school-going girls from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. This included the distribution of essential school supplies, new uniforms, and hygiene kits, with a special focus on girls aged 13–19 in rural areas of Bardiya and Dang districts.
Building on the foundation laid in 2025, we organized two well-attended community events in partnership with local schools and women’s groups. These gatherings saw the active participation of over 120 students, more than 140 parents, and reached approximately 300 villagers. The local school principal graced the occasions, reinforcing the project’s importance at the community level. Parents expressed deep gratitude for the relief provided, noting that the support has enabled many families to keep their daughters in school instead of pulling them out due to financial constraints.
In addition to material support, we conducted one interactive mentorship session on life skills, menstrual health, and career awareness, engaging 25 girls. These sessions, led by local female teachers, have helped boost the girls’ confidence and motivation to continue their studies.
The Women Welfare Foundation remains deeply committed to breaking the cycle of poverty and gender inequality by ensuring girls have the resources and encouragement they need to build their dreams. Every success story from these girls inspires us to expand our reach further in the coming months.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to our dedicated volunteers, local partners, and especially our generous donors. Your continued support is transforming lives and creating a brighter, more equitable future for girls in Nepal.
