Building Dreams: Support Girls' Education in Nepal

2025 has been another year of profound impact and heartfelt progress for the Women Welfare Foundation. We are immensely proud of our dedicated efforts to empower women and girls across Nepal through education, climate literacy, mental health support, and community engagement.

In our “Support Young Girls' Education in Nepal” project, we focused on providing underprivileged schoolgirls with essential educational materials, uniforms, and financial support to ensure they can attend and thrive in school. Throughout the year, we successfully assisted more than 25 young girls aged 5–8 with winter uniforms and learning resources during events that drew 90–100 students, over 100 parents, and more than 300 villagers in total, creating vibrant community gatherings attended by local government representatives and school administrators. The overwhelming excitement and gratitude from families highlighted the transformative power of these initiatives and sparked strong interest in our ongoing work. Additionally, we extended vital support to another 12 girls aged 10–18, along with financial assistance that enabled 25 girls to continue their education uninterrupted, offering much-needed relief to families facing economic hardships. These efforts have broken down barriers to education, fostered community collaboration, and reinforced our commitment to creating equal opportunities for girls to build brighter futures.

Complementing this, our climate literacy programs reached 5 additional schools across 3 districts, directly benefiting over 400 participants and more than 700 indirectly, while building on our existing base of 1,500+ beneficiaries adopting sustainable habits. We also engaged 3 local governments in advocacy for gender-responsive climate policies. In mental health, our initiatives—including the “Healing Hearts” project in Bardiya- provided counseling, safe spaces, and resources to over 1,135 women and girls, addressing stigma and supporting survivors in rebuilding resilience.

The Women Welfare Foundation remains steadfast in our mission to empower women and girls, break cycles of poverty and inequality, and foster thriving communities.
