Investing in Teachers to Transform Schools

Our experiences in the classroom—from our earliest PreK days all the way through high school—shape how we learn and who we become. An excellent teacher makes all the difference.

For 30 years, Center for Inspired Teaching has made that difference for tens of thousands of students by teaching their teachers to bring an improvisational mindset—characterized by adaptability and creativity—to the classroom.

In 2025 we reached more than 18,000 teachers and school leaders in the US and globally. How? Here are just a few examples:

• Our signature improvisation-based teacher training equips teachers of all grade levels and subject areas with strategies for teaching young people how to be curious and think critically—integral skills for success academically and in life.
• A robust library of free resources updated weekly, including Hooray For Monday toolkits and podcasts; research-backed guidebooks; and lesson plans on how to create a Class Constitution, teach math and reading through dance, understand emotions, and much more.
• In-classroom coaching and support for teachers and school leaders who are striving to shift their classrooms from places that prize compliance to places that promote curiosity.
• A Teacher Leader model through which we train classroom teachers to lead Inspired Teaching workshops for their colleagues across school buildings and school districts, thus leveraging our impact and reach exponentially.

Every child deserves a teacher who sparks curiosity and engagement. At Inspired Teaching, we’ve worked throughout 2025 (and for three decades!) toward this goal. I am looking forward to building on these efforts and excited for the new programs, partnerships, and resources we have in the pipeline for 2026!
