At Sofraa, we believe that education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty and empowering communities to thrive. That's why we are dedicated to transform education in Uganda and ensure that every child has access to a quality learning environment. We are excited to present our vital project: the enhancement and completion of Sofraa Primary School, a beacon of hope for 350 Wakisi's young learners.
The school currently faces critical challenges that undermine the learning experience: Unfinished classrooms, absent dormitories, and inadequate facilities compromise the learning environment, hindering their ability to focus and excel. Students arrive at school hungry, affecting their concentration and energy levels. The absence of proper roofing puts students at the mercy of weather conditions, making it difficult for them to concentrate during lessons and leading to missed school days.
We will work tirelessly to complete unfinished classrooms, construct a dormitory, and install durable iron sheet ceilings that protect students from weather disruptions. By offering regular, nutritious meals to students, we aim to combat hunger and improve overall well-being, enabling children to focus better on their studies. Through these improvements, we will create a safe and secure environment that fosters resilience and supports students' growth academically and personally.
