The construction of the Assistive Device Innovation and Training Center in Kamangu, Kiambu County, is a key initiative by the Special Education Professionals (SEP), through your support, to improve the lives of children with disabilities and their families across Kenya. The center will serve as a hub for the production of affordable customized assistive devices and caregiver training.
The contractor’s monthly progress reports indicate that the project has remained on schedule with no major implementation constraints reported. Site activities have continued smoothly, supported by proper coordination, availability of materials, and adherence to construction timelines and quality standards. Recent site photographs further demonstrate the steady advancement of the construction works and the commitment toward timely completion of the facility.

Once completed, the Assistive Device Innovation and Training Center will significantly enhance access to locally made assistive devices and specialized training, contributing to a more inclusive society where children with disabilities can fully participate and thrive.
