This project will provide 100 adolescent girls and young women, AGYW with vocational training and link them up to economic empowerment opportunities in Kaduna state and support 50 AGYW with funds to return to school and complete their secondary education. We will partner with the state education board and the state Ministry of Women Affairs to ensure enrolment back into school and linkages to economic opportunities to strengthen the agency and social capital of the 150 AGYW.
EVA has been supporting safe space sessions for adolescent girls and young women(AGYW) in two communities in Kaduna state. These sessions were facilitated by 10 AGYW trained by EVA to build AGYW capacity on bodily autonomy knowledge, life skills, and Sexual and Gender Based Violence. The 291 AGYW who have benefited from this program have expressed the need to be economically empowered and access formal education to further build their self-esteem & enable them to participate in decision making.

Outcomes; Improved economic abilities of adolescent girls and young women: Through training on livelihood skills the girls will be equipped with knowledge and skills to improve their income-earning abilities and linked to economic opportunities in the state to start their business. Improved educational status: Successful enrolment in school will mean that the girls have another opportunity to complete their education and change the outcomes of their lives.
