Over the last year, your donations have given vulnerable Filipino families the means to protect their communities from frequent floods.
The boats you’ve funded have helped kids like 2-month-old Erica Mae escape safely when the waters rose. Those boats have also given countless moms and dads the peace of mind that comes with knowing that, if it all goes wrong, someone will be there to lend a helping hand.
But this Christmas there are still too many communities where rescue team leaders like Romeo lack a boat.
Romeo is almost 60, but he’s a long way from retiring. When the floods come, he enters the flood waters to ensure that none of his neighbors become trapped by the rising waters. If they have, he evacuates them in his boat.
But while Romeo’s neighbors are safe, many others aren’t because their community rescue teams are still without a boat. You can change that.
