IA3 3rd Project Report - How we are today

By Fabiana Lima | Project Coordinator and Public Relations

SUMMARY

Although we are facing a strong economy recession in Brazil, we are still moving ahead with our objectives, which are to contribute to the comprehensive formation of adolescents through educational, cultural, sports and professional training initiatives, as an alternative to social inclusion, poverty combat and empowerment of those at risk of social vulnerability.

Next to complete 07 years of operation, we the IA3 Institute have seen good progress on what we have done. Now with 413 beneficiaries being supported we realize how worse is not having the right size and own organization to give the appropriate dignity to our work.

We have been conducting structural initiatives that promote indeed a change in the social condition in the communities where we operate. Our work has a preventive nature, seeking to give meaning to the lives of young people who are in a disadvantaged situations. We work to create development alternatives to complement their formation, not only as professional but as  human being too, increasing their self-esteem, providing new skills and toos as a supported base for them to build a good and appropriate live.

With this challenge, the various actors are involved, especially the families of the assisted young people to make sure the initiaties we promote goes beyond the borders of the Institute that reaches the home of assisted young people and the community as a whole.

We truly believe that the future is in the hands of our young people, they are the key to really promote the needed changes in our country. However, considering the current situations, the social problems faced by them, the fragmented and weakened education they are exposed, we are aware that the construction of a better country depend on substantial investment in education and dedication in order to ensure a healthy transition from adolescence to adult.

To put the necessary tools in place we count with you all.

Thanks,
Fabiana Lima
