Greetings to our beloved partners and friends! Here is a brief quarterly update from Kassanda Children’s Aid (KCA).

All our families under KCA on the Stephen Baker Farm received food and medication, in total we have 25 people residing there. We decided to give our dream project a try, to help meet the financial needs of our single mothers at Stephen Baker Farm by obtaining two pigs, so far they are growing well. They still lack a sheltering place, area to store food and feeding area. Due to theft and when breeding starts, this will be most helpful. I am praying daily for a donor to fund this need as the project will work well to assist with the many needs that arise from our generous house building project.

In rain season, we planted beans, cassava, banana plants, maize and vegetable greens. Unfortunately, we received a heavy hail storm which destroyed all our planted cassava and banana plants. We were able to replant the cassava again but our bananas we simply had to cut off the affected leaves and wait for new ones to come up.

Regarding school, we have 30 children who went back for their third term, which started on 18/09/2023. We managed to provide school uniforms to 150 children. It employed a woman to sew them and these really made the children love attending school, they feel so proud to belong to our school. We thank Mrs Stacy as she knows the donor who decided to fund this for our children We also finally got a borehole drilled for water, you can see the truck that came to our site to drill it. Lastly, we love our new stove that allows us to cook using less firewood.

As you can see we are accomplishing much together with your help! Please consider giving however you can, whether prayer, your time or talents and finances to our organization. We always strive to use your resources to the best of our ability. We also love welcoming visitors if your heart would desire.

Blessings and love abound!
