In this reporting period, CDRC and PCDR were able to conduct Psychosocial Activities.
Psychosocial Support
CDRC conducted psychosocial activities for children staying in evacuation centers in Barangay Poblacion, President Roxas, Capiz, last June 18, 2022.
The morning before the relief distribution, CDRC with the help of PCDR volunteers facilitated psychosocial activity for children in the affected area of Tropical Storm Megi. It aimed to support them in their recovery and return to their everyday lives. Each participant received an art kit (coloring book, crayons, and pencil) and a hygiene kit ( alcohol, toothbrush, body soap, and face masks).
The activity was participated in by 25 children. Various activities and games were launched during the psychosocial activity. It started with a short introduction through artwork. Secondly, they drew what they had experienced during the storm, followed by a fun game. Lastly, to break the stress they’ve experienced, they drew their favorites moment/event, persons, and foods and they shared this afterward.
