Achieving a Better Life

By Nyiraneza Charlotte | Founder and President

Achieving a Better Life continues to grow.  In the last six months we hosted eight theatre performances, each about a different face of domestic violence or the undervaluing of women . Our team continually strives to improve our project, distributing evaluations after performances and surveying community members, then responding to criticism and modifying their programming to tackle the most prevalent issues.

The ABL actors participated in the Arts for Peace and Human Rights conference as well as a Pan-African conference on strengthening creative industries through entrepreneurship. ABL's founder, Charlotte, I recently received training in documentary film-making  and feature script writing then the team is now working on a documentary film by the time we have finished a feature drama in October DVDs are available.

This November we are perfoming another play shows different images of choosing a finance and we are teaching the community the effect either positive or negative for the future marriage according to the choose that is based on which criteria, it may be the culture what we call forced or from loving each other and so on...
