Partnerships and Preparations for Digital Labs in Remote Schools

By PETER DUODU | Project Lead / Program Coordinator

Building digital laboratories for remote schools requires strong partnerships, careful planning, and technical groundwork. Over this initial reporting period, our work has focused on establishing the institutional foundation needed to successfully deploy digital labs in underserved schools across Ghana.

We are pleased to share that we have initiated institutional arrangements and partnerships with key education stakeholders and partner institutions. These partnerships are essential for identifying target schools, aligning with school administrators, and ensuring that the digital labs will be integrated into teaching and learning activities. Through these engagements, we have begun mapping remote schools, assessing infrastructure needs, and refining our deployment framework to ensure sustainability.

At this stage, no donations have yet been received through the GlobalGiving platform. As a result, physical installation of digital labs has not commenced. However, this preparatory phase is a critical step in ensuring that once funding begins, implementation will be efficient, transparent, and impactful.

We are currently ready to begin the first phase of deployment immediately after initial funds are mobilized. Our technical plans, partner agreements, and implementation roadmap are in place, positioning us to move quickly from planning to action.

We are grateful for the opportunity to share this early update with our supporters. Your future contributions will directly enable remote schools to access computers, digital learning resources, and essential technology infrastructure—bridging the digital divide for students in some of Ghana’s most underserved communities.

We look forward to reporting on the first lab installations once fundraising begins.
