Hello,

Thank you for your support for the Atlas Corps Community! Because of you, our Fellows, Scholars, and Alumni continue to #BuildBridges internationally and within their home countries. I am excited to share with you our most recent highlights!

Global Community—Our Global Community continues to grow to 1,500+ leaders from 115+ countries!

  • This month, Atlas Corps welcomes Cohort 11 to our Virtual Leadership Institute! These 55 Scholars hail from Pakistan and will participate in the “Pakistan Emerging Leadership Development Institute,” which is a part of a collaboration with two Atlas Corps Alumni–led organizations, Accountability Lab Pakistan and CaterpillHERS. Meet our newest leaders here.
  • In January, Atlas Corps welcomed Class 48 to our Fellowship program! This dynamic group of 5 emerging professionals from Cuba, Egypt, Nigeria, and Zimbabwe will be working at U.S. based organizations, such as with my former colleagues at Save the Children. This Class continues our partnership with Generation, a global nonprofit that prepares, places, and supports people into life-changing careers that would otherwise be inaccessible. You can learn more about Generationhere and our partnershiphere. How exciting! I encourage you to meet our new Fellowshere.

Atlas Corps Team—Meet our newest senior leaders, Huda and Mary!

  • Atlas Corps welcomes two senior leaders to drive forward our investment in scaling leader development and talent journeys for young professionals across the globe.
  • Mary has joined us as Senior Advisor this week. She will advise the Chief Partnerships Officer and the senior executive team.
  • Huda Alawa joins us on March 1, 2023 as Chief Partnerships Officer. She will drive our investment in partnerships with host organizations, and cooperation partners and lead our communication and fundraising efforts.

  • Atlas Corps is now accepting applications for the 2023 Hilton Humanitarian Prize Laureate Virtual Leadership Institute! Greetings!

Can you believe it’s already been 3 months since we launched this campaign? When we first launched #BuildBridges, so many of you have stepped up in support and since then, our Global Community continues to grow bigger and stronger.

I am so excited to share with you that Atlas Corps has recently moved and is now an official Open Gov Hub Member! We look forward to continuing to share synergies with Open Gov Hub, who has also been a valued Atlas Corps Host Organization. We welcome you to learn more about Open Gov Hub and their Global Affiliate Hubs, including the three that are run by Atlas Corps Alumni: Albania, Liberia, and Tunisia. Also, we encourage you to update your records with our new address:

Atlas Corps

There are countless ways in how your support enriches the personal and professional development of our Fellows, Scholars, and Alumni. One of those ways is through connecting them to other social impact leaders and organizations, such as our Host Organizations. Thanks to your support, we connected Fellow Daliya (Class 41, India) to SAP as their Marketing and Communications Fellow. Her supervisor, Jennifer Beason, the Global Director of Social Business, shares the relational value of having an Atlas Corps Fellow as part of the team:

Although we have never met in person, she has proven that building connections and friendships are possible beyond the confines of physical spaces. I’m confident that we will certainly remain in each other’s business ecosystem and, more importantly, that we will remain friends for the foreseeable future. (I invite you to read more about Daliya’s work at SAP here.)

This month of October is also filled with more opportunities to #BuildBridges across our global networks!

  • Special Invite - We invite you to join us on October 18 at 12pm ET for our Fall Celebration of Service, which will be held virtually here! We will be featuring all of our Fellows, Scholars, and Alumni that have begun and/or completed their service in the last few months, which includes: 2022 Cohort of Hilton Prize Scholars: We welcomed them into our Global Community during our Summer Celebration of Service and now we will be celebrating their graduation! Meet them here; Cohort 10 Scholars: These dynamic leaders from Russia and the United States will be participating in our Virtual Leadership Institute, “Leadership in Times of Change.” Meet some of them here.
  • Spread the word! - Atlas Corps recently launched the Virtual Leadership Institute Recruitment for professionals in Nicaragua and climate change leaders in Spain. You are welcome to share amongst your professional networks using our social media toolkits (Nicaragua and Spain).

Your support has made a tremendous difference in the Atlas Corps Community. I am excited for us to celebrate more on October 18! Together, WE are Atlas Corps!

Cheers-

Abby

P.S. I encourage you to visit and follow the Atlas Corps LinkedIn page, where we will continue to update on all of these exciting events!
