Help Us Build A New School in Kenya

By Vuyo Mngomezulu | Personal Assistant to the CEO

Dear Supporters,

Running a school and providing quality education is a costly endeavor. It involves funding staff salaries, purchasing resources, maintaining school grounds, and ensuring a safe and conducive learning environment for the children. Our goal with this project is to alleviate these costs by building a 100% sustainable school in Kenya, capable of educating and feeding all 280 children regardless of the school’s income.

However, we’ve noticed a slowdown in donations recently. Your contributions are vital to the success of our project and the support we can provide to these children.

Over the past few months, we’ve been busy as our current landlord has confirmed their intention to sell the property at the end of this year. We’re considering a few options, such as purchasing the site we’re currently on and gradually rebuilding, or buying a site near the school. We’ve employed an expert to help us consult and cost up the options, but we estimate it will cost around $300,000 to build and launch a full primary school. It’s time to put our thinking caps on and start fundraising.

We’d like to draw your attention to a special day - Giving Tuesday, which falls on November 28th. It’s the most substantial day of the year for donations. Last year, thanks to your tremendous support, we raised enough funds on this day to sustain our work until June this year. Without this fundraising day, we simply would not have survived until now. Excitingly, GlobalGiving will match every new donation made on Giving Tuesday, amplifying the impact of your contribution on our cause and enabling us to continue our work for another year.

We’re incredibly grateful for your support and hope you’ll join us for Giving Tuesday. Please share our work and project with your friends and family, so we can continue making a difference together. Thank You!
