Msichana Empowerment Kuria plans to build & equip seven classrooms & a children's library & health clinic to provide free literacy, digital, & entrepreneurship skills to 250 girls annually affected by child marriage, female genital cutting, teenage pregnancy, & extreme poverty. This first-ever Skills Hub will also serve as a community resource, hosting a library for 200 children from the poorest communities, arts & music programs, & an organic garden to provide nutritious meals for the children.
In Kuria, rural Kenya, girls face a bleak reality. Countless girls face dire circumstances: abandoned, forced into early marriages after dropping out of school, their dreams shattered by limited post-secondary opportunities & suffocating poverty. We seek to break these chains of oppression by providing a lifeline of hope between 2025-2028 to 250 girls. With your support, we aim to rescue these girls from despair, offering them a path to education, empowerment, and independence.
Our project provides a comprehensive solution to the entrenched issues faced by vulnerable girls. By offering education and skills training, we empower them to break free from the chains of generational poverty, preventing Female Genital Cutting and child marriage. With your support, we begin with 250 girls, aiming to double our impact by 2028 with doubled funding. Your contribution is their beacon of hope, promising a future of opportunity and dignity.
With your support, we aim to double our impact, expanding our programs to reach up to 1000 girls. In the long term, these girls will not only be educated but empowered, equipped with the skills and confidence to secure employment and start their own businesses. They will have agency and choice over their bodies, living lives of dignity and health supported by their communities.
