Dear Donor,
Thanks to your generous support, Development Alert was able to continue improving access to clean and safe water for vulnerable families in rural Uganda. Many communities depend on boreholes as their primary source of water, yet these facilities can become damaged and unusable, leaving hundreds of people with few safe alternatives.
Through our water intervention, we worked with community members to identify urgent water challenges, support borehole repairs, and promote responsible management of restored water sources. These efforts have helped families access water closer to their homes for drinking, cooking, washing, and sanitation.
The impact is particularly important for women and children who often carry the responsibility of collecting water. When a borehole is restored, children can spend more time in school, while women can dedicate more time to farming, household responsibilities, and income-generating activities.
Access to safe water also supports better hygiene and helps communities reduce their reliance on potentially contaminated sources.
Your generosity is helping turn water infrastructure into healthier families, greater dignity, and stronger communities.
Thank you for your continued compassion and support. Together, we are helping rural families build healthier and more resilient lives through reliable access to clean water.
