700 children in rural Uganda are one step closer to a real classroom. Thanks to 22 donors like you, we’ve raised $8,563 of our $10,309 goal. Construction is underway.
What’s done this month:
1. Site cleared + foundation added on: Community members donated labor. Parents carried stones. Children drew their dream classroom in the dirt.
2. Materials purchased: $3,200 worth of cement, sand, and bricks delivered to site. Local suppliers hired = money stays in community.
3. 3 classrooms taking shape: Baby Class, Middle Class, Top Class walls are going up. Roof trusses arrive next week.
The impact you’re creating:
Right now, kids sit under trees or on dirt floors. When it rains, learning stops. With this kindergarten, 700 children aged 3-6 will get:
Safe, dry classrooms with desks + chalkboards
An office for teachers + parent meetings
Library corner + clean toilets
Open field for play and recreation
What’s next - 60 days:
1. Roof + windows installation
2. Flooring + painting by parents
3. Teacher training + furniture delivery
4. Grand opening: Target December 2026, before next school term
$2,746 left = the final push
We need $2,746 to finish. Every dollar builds classrooms where learning doesn’t depend on weather.
Your impact today:
$25 - Buys 2 bags of cement for 1 wall
$50 - Buys sand for 1 day of construction
$100 - Buys a truck of bricks for 1 classroom
$500 - Pays laborers + completes 1 classroom roof
$1,746 - Closes the gap. Opens the school.
Why this matters now:
In Uganda, classroom shortages mean kids walk miles or learn under trees. This kindergarten keeps 700 kids close to home, safe, and learning daily. Early childhood education = higher literacy + stronger community.
