The first steps in construction of the Health Center in Konkourona, Burkina Faso will be drilling a well, testing the water, and installing a solar powered pump and a water tower. This will provide running water, a first in the village of Konkourona. This work is scheduled to begin this month and should be completed before March 2021.
The picture above shows the site on which the Health Center will be built.
Konkourona is on the edge of a classified forest and no construction is permitted in the forest. A team from the water and forest service in Burkina Faso visited the site for the Health Center this week to confirm that there will be no restrictions.
