The vision of establishing a veterinary clinic in Selwane remains very much alive, and while progress may not always be visible in large milestones, important groundwork continues to be laid behind the scenes. Building a sustainable veterinary facility takes time, careful planning, and a commitment to ensuring every step is done properly.
We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who has supported this project through donations, fundraising efforts, and continued encouragement. Your contributions have already made a meaningful impact.
One of the most significant achievements so far has been securing the land and establishing essential infrastructure, including access to borehole water and storage facilities. These resources are vital for the future operation of the clinic, ensuring that equipment, supplies, and medications can be stored safely and remain readily available when needed. Having these foundations in place brings us one step closer to providing accessible veterinary care within the community.
Progress is always in motion, even when it may not be immediately visible. Planning, securing resources, coordinating logistics, and preparing the site are all critical stages in turning this dream into a reality.
Our immediate goal is to complete the kennel and donkey areas, which will provide much-needed space for treatment, recovery, and ongoing animal welfare work. We are currently seeking the final push of support needed to bring these facilities to completion. Any secured funding and future donations will then be directed toward finishing the main clinic building itself.
We remain optimistic and committed to moving this project forward and hope that by the end of the year we will have achieved significant additional progress. Continued awareness, support, and community involvement are the first steps in transforming a vision into something lasting and impactful.
A dedicated veterinary facility in Selwane would be truly one of a kind—a valuable resource that would improve animal welfare, support local communities, and create opportunities for better veterinary care for years to come.
Thank you for believing in this project and helping us build a healthier future for the animals and people of Selwane.
