Last month, Boys & Girls Clubs of Huntington Valley's project to build a new Family Campus at Golden West College took major steps forward thanks to some very generous donors. Kingston Technology has made a significant gift to name the new Family Campus in the company's honor. Kingston also challenged the Club to raise another million dollars. An anonymous donor committed to give $750,000 of the $1,000,000 needed. But the Club only gets the full $750,000 if we can raise $250,000 more from other supporters. We're almost there! Just $55,000 more is needed to secure the full $750,000 gift from our anonymous donor. Let's make it a million for the kids - will you help by making a gift on GlobalGiving today?
A mom will tell you in her own words why the Boys & Girls Club is so important to her family: "I need to work to support my kids to provide food, clothes, books for school, pay bills, and meet all their needs. But the most important thing is to keep my little daughters in the best safe place so I can work knowing my kids will be OK studying, doing homework with someone to watch over them. God bless the Boys & Girls Club and its staff." – Oliva, Huntington Beach.
With your help, we can give thousands more family's like Oliva's "the best safe place" for their children by completing the Boys & Girls Club's new Kingston Family Campus at Golden West College. At the Boys & Girls Club, we say, "Great Futures Start Here." That's because kids get the support and resources they need to succeed in school and in life. At the new Club, kids will be able to take advantage of homework help, tutoring, sports leagues, arts programs, fitness activities, computer labs and technology education, fun academic support programs in reading, math and science, life skills classes, leadership and community service clubs and so much more!
Thank you for your past support and for being part of the Boys & Girls Club family. We hope we can count on you to help us reach our matching gift goal. With your help, we'll be ready to open the new Club and start changing families' lives for the better in the 2015-2016 school year. Please feel free to share the photo in this report to tell the world that you support great futures for kids at the Boys & Girls Club!
