At the Boys & Girls Club, we want kids to dream big. And, your support for the Club helps make those dreams come true. I’d like to tell you about Jocelyn, one of the kids who’s learning to dream big at our Oak View Branch.
Jocelyn is 10 years old and has been a member at the Oak View Branch ever since it opened in October 2012. She loves participating in everything the Club has to offer, from drawing in the Education Room to playing sports in the gym and outside. Here’s what she has to say about her plans for the future and how the Boys & Girls Club is helping her get there:
“I want to be a doctor because I want to help and be there for families when they are sick. I want to go to college because I want to learn new things, get a good job, and be the first one in my family. I want to make my family happy because I made the right choice. Oak View teaches me new ways to learn math, reading, science, and social studies. The Boys & Girls Club helps me learn new things that I have not learned. I have something to do at Oak View. Without the Club, I would be home not doing much.”
When you make a gift to help build the new Boys & Girls Club at Golden West College, you’re helping thousands more kids like Jocelyn who dream of being the first in their families to go to college. Thank you for helping kids like Jocelyn dream big and prepare for their great futures at the Boys & Girls Club!
