Dear Donors,

Firstly let me thank you for your generouse donation to support housing for the less fortunate in Sri Lanka.

The grave economic and financial crisis that our country has been facing for nearly 1 year now, has resulted in extreme price increases in building materials and labour costs. Hence, we have decided to further postpone the construction of houses to those identified less-fortunate families in the North-Central Province, to a future date.

We have received LKR 750,000 approx. on GG for this project.

We have a shortfall of USD 3,000 approx. to support build one house as of the current prices in material and labour.

We hope we may be able to collect further funds during the next 2-4 months to build one house, so that we can commence construction in after we complete our Rural Schools Project in April 2023.

We will keep you posted once we commence on the project.

Your donation no doubt will help build a house to a very deserving family, in our country.

May you and your family be blessed abundantly !

Kind Regards

Suranjani Wickremeratne

Dear Donors,

Firstly let me thank you for your generouse donation to support housing for the less fortunate in Sri Lanka.

The grave economic and financial crisis that our country has been facing for nearly 8-10 months, has resulted in extreme price increases in building materials and labour costs. Hence, we have decided to postpone the construction of houses to those identified less-fortunate families in the North-Central Province, to a future date.

We have received USD 2,607 on GG. This is equivalent to LKR 677,500 approx.after the GG charges, we've received in the local account, for this project. We have a shortfall of USD 4,000 approx. to support build one house. We hope we may be able to collect further funds during the next 4-6 months to build one house, so that we can commence construction in early 2023, if our country situation improves and the construction material prices stabilies.

We will keep you posted once we commence on the project.

Your donation no doubt will help build a house to a very deserving family, in our country.

May you and your family be blessed abundantly !

Kind Regards

Dear Donors,

Firstly let me thank each one of you for your generosity towards this project.

We are very passionate about this project to construct houses for those really in need of it - especially for the low-income families living in remote areas.

We identified 5 families in a remote area in Anuradhapura District for this purpose and when we were making arrangements to start constructing a house for one family, our efforts had to come to a standstill due to the urgency of a change in focus to support the current crisis the hospitals are facing with regard to the shortages in drugs. Also, the construction industry is facing many challenges with regard to sourcing of materials for construction and unbelievable price increases. So our initial budget to build a house for LKR 1.5 million becomes an unrealized dream as of now. We will campaign for funds when we decide to proceed with this project and any support towards it will be greatly appreciated. We will also let you know of the revised budget when we decide to construct, as still the prices are on an upward trend and changing rapidly, hence budgeting for it is a challenge.

We have initiated a project on GlobalGiving to support the current crisis in the health sector due to shortages in essential medicine to support life-threatening situations. Any support you can provide by way of a donation and/or spreading the word to your relatives, friends, and colleagues would be very much appreciated.

Dear Donor,

Wish you and your family a very happy new year! May you find peace, happiness, love, and prosperity throughout 2022.

We have identified the beneficiaries of the project, and hope to concentrate on building one house to the most deserving we feel, out of the donations we received.

As the country is opening up after a lockdown for some time due to covid-19, we've not been able to visit the village to discuss matters.

Plans and detailed drawings for the house are being done, and a group of us will visit the location in January 2022.

Our target timeline to commence on the first house is March-April 2022.

We will keep you updated on the progress of it once it commences.

We thank you once again for your kind generosity, and may you and your family are blessed abundantly.

Best Regards

Suranjan Wickremeratne
