Continued Stakeholder Engagement!

By Dungrila Pascal Mbimenyuy | Project Leader.

Education is the key to success and peace as it's often said, however, this can only become a reality when there is equality, accessibility and affordability in every society.

In Cameroon and elsewhere in other African Countries, accessibility and affordability to quality education is often a privillage and not a right due to persistent poverty and inequality in many societies. Children residing in remote areas and those affected by armed conflict and forced displacement and poverty do not have access to quality education, creating a pathway for generational poverty.

In 2023, Integrated Agricultural Association (IAA) which work to improve the living conditions of communities across Cameroon, consulted different stakeholder groups and identified a lack of classrooms and other facilities crucial for quality education, at the Government Bilingual Primary School Mogni-Kouffen, Foumbot, Cameroon. At that time the enrollment was 700+, 3 years later, it has increased to over 1000 pupils.

IAA created a fundraising campaign to buil classrooms, toilets and water facilities to improve learning environment for pupils and teachers. Since then, $7,271 raised in 3 years through 54 donations of $35,000 goal, and $27,729 to go. Due to a decline on global funding, climate change, pressure on resources and economic challenges, the fundraising campaign has not been progressing lately.

In response, IAA has resort to continue consultation with community members, education stakeholders, elites and other Private Foundations to request for immediate financial and material support to get the construction works off the ground quickly, so that children would be able to learn like their peers in cities and other areas.

Consider increasing your donation today, so that together we will make a difference in our community.

With gratitude!
