I am happy to inform you I have now moved to Geneva, Switzerland, so we can further advance our anti-trafficking work at the United Nations (UN).
As GHNI’s Chief UN Representative, I will now be able to further build and expand trust relationships with key ambassadors, UN diplomats, members of parliament and business leaders representing 193 nations. Geneva is also home to 15 major UN Agencies, 25 inter-governmental organizations, 229 diplomatic missions, 569 multinational companies, and 250 non-governmental organizations - so that we can advance the following anti-trafficking activities:
- Train government leaders and civil society organizations how to eliminate legislation, policies and laws that hinder the ability of police/prosecutors/judges to prosecute and convict pedophiles/human traffickers and their accomplices, while freeing more victims - as effective laws and their uncompromising enforcement play an irreplaceable role in abolishing human trafficking;
- Reform national justice systems by recommending new legislation and/or eliminating existing legislation that strengthens the justice system to increase human trafficking convictions. Legal reform plays a vital role in abolishing human trafficking;
- Training government lawmakers, law enforcement, prosecutors, judges, and civil society organizations how to create local citizen-based initiatives that will help law enforcement and prosecutors convict more pedophiles/human traffickers and their accomplices.
You may or may not know this, but our anti-trafficking advocacy work is 100% privately funded by generous partners like you. GHNI is a privately funded, international, non-political, non-religious, (501c3) non-profit development organization dedicated to helping those who are hidden and hurting around the world.
We simply must to ensure more protection for women and children, especially those who cannot defend themselves from sexual predators and human traffickers! The number of these predators seem to be increasing at an alarming rate internationally, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic..
Geneva is home to 15 major UN Agencies, 25 inter-governmental organizations, 229 diplomatic missions, 569 multinational companies, and 250 non-governmental organizations. The Palais des Nations welcomes more than 25,000 delegates (significant international leaders) every year.
Geneva is the best place for us to leverage those who have the greatest power to end this atrocity!
