Prolonged drought has left many vulnerable families in Indonesia without reliable access to clean water. Many residents must walk long distances or rely on unsafe water to meet their daily needs. Through your donations, we will install community piped water systems that deliver clean water directly to 100 drought-affected households, benefiting 339 people. Your support will improve health, reduce the daily burden on families, and provide a sustainable clean water solution for facing drought
For more than two months, no rain has fallen in Gunungkidul, Indonesia. Prolonged drought has dried up water sources, leaving many families without clean water. Every day, residents walk long distances over rocky terrain and into caves to collect a single bucket of water for drinking, cooking, and washing. As crops fail and incomes decline, many families are forced to buy expensive water or use unsafe sources just to survive.
This project provides a sustainable clean water solution for communities affected by drought. Instead of relying solely on emergency water truck deliveries, it will install a pipeline system connecting a reliable spring to residents' homes. This will give families safe, reliable, and long-term access to clean water, eliminating the need to walk long distances every day. The project will benefit 100 low-income households living in drought-affected communities.
This project will provide 100 low-income families with reliable access to clean water, reducing waterborne diseases and improving health. Women, children, and older adults will no longer walk long distances to collect water. Even during the dry season, families will have a dependable water supply. Community members will manage the system and protect the water source through tree planting and environmental conservation.
