We are so excited to share with you the fruits your GlobalGiving!
Thanks to YOUR contributions on the GlobalGiving platform during the GlobalGiving Open Challenge, we were able to provide 20 schools within The College-Ready Promise coalition with 3 year access to SIMA Classroom starting in April 2016! That’s 465 educators and 8,934 students in at-need schools in California now benefitting from global education through the power of film.
We are also excited to announce that we made additional improvements to the SIMA Classroom platform! We added 18 new films selected from the 2016 SIMA Awards, scaled the available film resources, and amped-up our Filmmaker Q&As to reflect updates on current affairs, subjects and topics. We also launched the SIMA Engagement Model collection, offering educators creative, action-based, step-by-step methods of captivating students through documentary film and enabling skill-building lessons that allow students to address social issues in their everyday environments.
